Mailtray is a utility program that resides in your system tray in the Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 taskbar, and automatically checks your email accounts while the mail is still on the server. Mailtray allows you the freedom to partially view mail and delete unwanted items without ever starting your email program.
Main Features include:
Monitoring of more than one email account
Have instant access to your email program...No more fumbling through Windows to start it.
Options to play sound files and/or set up icons and counters letting you know when you have mail and how many are on the server.
Viewing of several lines of text in each individual email, and the ability to delete unwanted email without ever having to start your email program.
Easy to use and install.
When downloading, make a note of where you store the file you receive. That way you can find it later. You also have the option of letting the installation set up icons directly into your Start Menu in Windows.
Place the file at the bottom of this page in its own folder. Double click to begin the installation program.
To start the program, simply select Mailtray from Ultrasoftware in your programs section in the Windows Start Menu. You can also add it to the STARTUP group in the start menu, so that it automatically begins each time you start Windows.
This software runs under Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 95.
After a short installation period, the program will briefly show, then minimize to your System Tray at the lower right hand of your Start Menu. To access the options of Mailtray, right click on the icon, and select show settings. After making your option choices, to return it to the system tray, select hide.
To check your email immediately, right click on the icon in the tray and select the Check Mail Now option.
To launch your mail program, right click on the tray icon and select Launch Mail.
To exit, right click on the icon in the tray, then select Exit.
